My signature approach to working with patients

8 Jul, 2026, No comments

I integrate my academic knowledge, clinical experience, and the methods I have acquired throughout my professional journey when assessing a patient’s concerns through the perspective of cause and effect. Because the place where pain is felt is not always the place where the true cause lies.

More often, a patient’s symptoms are a manifestation of processes that originate elsewhere in the body — and quite frequently, beyond the body itself, within the surrounding environment and the person’s conscious or unconscious response to it. This response, in turn, becomes part of the inner environment and influences the processes taking place within.

By listening to a patient’s concerns — and truly hearing what is being expressed — I perform a functional assessment. This is the moment when I invite the Body to “speak”. Only afterwards do we consider these findings alongside diagnostic investigations.

In my view, only by following this sequence is it possible to move closer to the root cause — the triggering mechanisms behind the events that have created or contributed to the current state of imbalance and the symptoms experienced today.

(I have my own perspective on the term “health disorders”, which I would like to explore more deeply on another occasion.)

The range of therapeutic methods available within my practice is extensive. It is an approach that moves through both depth and breadth — supporting a dialogue between the Inner and the Outer, and between the physical body and the whole human being.

My work may include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, kinesiology taping, and fascial plasticity approaches. To support the restoration of integrity between the body and our conscious and unconscious parts, I also integrate approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Family Constellations based on the work of Bert Hellinger, and Somatic Awareness Healing (SAH).

Every approach is highly individualised. With each patient, I discuss the purpose, meaning, and place of each selected method — applying it where it truly belongs and where it can serve the process.

Before any therapeutic journey begins, I share my understanding of the situation through the lens of cause and effect. Only then, through the patient’s informed consent and readiness to engage, does the process move forward. It is a conscious choice — the willingness to work with oneself and participate in one’s own healing process.

Perhaps it is not by chance that treatment is often described as an art.
Because it is the meeting of the patient’s and the therapist’s intention, commitment, and willingness that allows transformation to occur.

Visual Symbol

Ouroboros — the serpent or dragon consuming its own tail — is one of the ancient symbols that preceded the modern representation of infinity.

In the works of Greek alchemists, the Ouroboros represented infinity, cycles, eternal return, and the principle of “One is All” — the unity of existence and the interconnectedness of all processes.

Processes within the body are cyclical. The body possesses powerful regenerative abilities, which sometimes require only a gentle stimulus to awaken and support them. Through working with the Inner and the Outer, we honour the principle of the Whole — the understanding that true wellbeing arises from the connection of all aspects of being.
